On Wednesday, October 24th at 2pm ET,MDMA will host an important Member-Only (no cost) webinar, “Medical Device Security: Why it's Important, How to Address It”, presented by Archimedes Center for Medical Device Security.

Today, medical device technology has evolved to a point where the far majority of devices critically depend on computer software, and are network connected. The technology often enables patients to lead more normal and healthy lives. However, medical devices that rely on software (e.g., drug infusion pumps, linear accelerators, pacemakers, IOT devices) also inherit the cybersecurity risks endemic to computing. This webinar will introduce you to the history and future of medical device security, and explain the high level of security risk that currently exists. Then, the discussion will outline how to begin developing a device security capability via key building blocks. Our hope is to have this discussion be a launching point for small and mid-sized device manufacturers and hospitals regarding security. Hope you can attend!

You must be logged in to register, should you have any problems, please contact Sheri DeVinney at sdevinney@medicaldevices.org.
